Well, what do you know? A new study by Rutgers University and the Network Contagion Research Institute (NCRI) has revealed what most of us have long suspected—DEI (Diversity, Equity & Inclusion) pedagogy is ineffective and doing more harm than good.
Of course, our mainstream media has largely refused to cover the story or report on the study. That’s why you have probably not heard about the groundbreaking findings and why DEI nonsense continues to fulminate across America.
The study’s results contradict the media’s chosen narrative that DEI training is essential for corporations, schools, universities, and government offices. Without it, we are a nation of bigoted knuckle draggers who hate all racial and ethnic minorities.
Most recently, the New York Times and Bloomberg elected not to share the study results with their readers. Others have followed suit.
Never mind that a Pew Research Center study from 2023 found that 52% of American workers have DEI training events or meetings at work, and according to Professor Iris Bohnet with the Harvard Kennedy School, $8 billion is spent annually on such dubious programs.
So, while DEI is firmly ingrained in American institutions, the fact that it is harmful and counterproductive must be covered up by our corrupt, leftist media.
Nothing to see here! What study?
In fact, the Rutgers-NCRI study reveals that DEI may exacerbate racial tensions rather than alleviate them. The study measured “explicit bias, social distancing, demonization, and authoritarian tendencies” with DEI training and control materials. It examined the sharing of anti-racist DEI materials created by bigoted race baiters Ibram X. Kendi and “White Fragility” author Robin DiAngelo with participants. Specifically, the NCRI focused on materials emphasizing awareness of and opposition to “systemic oppression,” popularized by texts such as Kendi’s “How to Be an Antiracist.”
Individuals exposed to anti-racist materials were linked to heightened perceptions of racial bias in the study. Participants were also more likely to support punitive measures against perceived offenders of so-called “microaggressions,” even without any evidence of such behavior.
According to study co-author and NCRI Chief Science Officer Joel Finkelstein, DEI’s hostile bias increases, rather than reduces, hostility and authoritarian behavior in the long run.
“When people are supposed to see anti-racist material in the ideology, it looks like what happens is that they become more likely to punish for any evidence of wrongdoing,” said Finkelstein. “That includes protesting people, calling for dismissal, demanding public apologies, and calling for their relocation. These punitive measures are, in some cases, costing people their jobs.”
In other words, DEI encourages the “canceling” of those who dispute or resist DEI training. And our dishonest media goes along with it.
“We took a lot of these ideas that were found to still be very prominent in many of these DEI lectures and interventions and training,” said Finkelstein. “And we said, ‘Well, how will this affect people?’ What we found is that when people are exposed to this ideology, what happens is they become hostile without any indication that anything racist has happened.”
The study revealed that during meticulously controlled experiments, the researchers demonstrated that exposure to anti-oppressive (i.e., anti-racist) rhetoric—common in many DEI initiatives—consistently amplified perceptions of prejudice and bias where none existed. Participants were more likely to see prejudice in neutral scenarios and to support punitive actions against imagined offenders.
These effects were not marginal; hostility and punitive tendencies increased by double-digit percentages across multiple measures. Perhaps most troubling, the study revealed a chilling convergence with authoritarian attitudes, suggesting that such training is fostering not empathy but coercion and control.
Welcome to the Orwellian world of DEI dogma, where accusing fingers are pointed, opportunities are restricted, and a cadre of tyrannical DEI disciples and their complicit cronies in the mainstream media are more than willing to destroy lives and careers on behalf of a fraudulent remedy for alleged bigotry.
When it comes to woke DEI stalkers, I like what M. Scott Peck, author of the book “The Road Less Traveled,” said:
“Human beings are poor examiners, subject to superstition, bias, prejudice, and a PROFOUND tendency to see what they want to see rather than what is really there.”
