Don’t let the legacy media scam you by calling the Los Angeles immigration riots “mostly peaceful.” They are not. They are mostly violent and exceedingly destructive.
Second, judging from the proliferation of Mexican, Venezuelan, Palestinian, and other non-American flags rioters are waving in the faces of Los Angeles police, ICE agents, and National Guardsmen, you might think America is being invaded.
That is precisely what is happening, and it has been going on since feckless Joe Biden took occupancy of the White House in 2021 and allowed some 10 million illegal migrants–hundreds of thousands of them violent criminals–to invade our country.
These demonstrators are mostly illegal migrants, or their friends and family members. Some, as President Trump has suggested, are professional protestors who always show up when there is an opportunity to foment chaos, devastation, and to attack police and federal agents.
Third, the communist L.A. Mayor Karen Bass and the incompetent California Gov. “Hair Gel,” otherwise known as Gavin Newsom, think that by blaming Donald Trump, they can avoid any responsibility for the violence and destruction sweeping across Los Angeles. They cannot. They, and only they, are responsible.
Rather than trying to quell the violence, Bass and Newsom are fanning the flames, actually encouraging more rioting by charging that the California National Guard mobilized by President Trump is the reason for the riots.
What a bunch of hooey. During 90 percent of the violence and rioting this past weekend, the National Guard was never visibly engaged and remained mostly sequestered away from the riots.
Instead, the L.A. Police Department and ICE agents bore the brunt of the attacks during which they were pelted with chunks of concrete, bottles of urine, Molotov cocktails, and an array of commercial-grade fireworks. Several police officers have been wounded and injured.
The LAPD responded by firing tear-gas canisters, pepper spray, and non-lethal, but painful, rubber bullets at the America-hating thugs bent on destruction and looting.
Instead of calling for calm and condemning the violence by mobs of illegal migrants, MS-13, Tren de Aragua gang members, and their supporters, Democrat politicians in Los Angeles and Washington are encouraging the mobs by attacking ICE agents and other federal authorities. ICE agents are the criminals, they say, not illegal migrants.
House Democratic minority leader Hakeem Jeffries is threatening to “out” ICE agents who are wearing masks to protect their identities and, by extension, those of their families, from retaliation by illegal migrants and gang members.
The fact that he and other Democrats are willing to put the lives of federal agents and their families at risk while providing whole-hearted support for the thugs and criminals who have invaded our country is disgusting.
Jeffries and others who are behind this scheme should be prosecuted for endangering the lives of the men and women who are only enforcing the laws regarding illegal immigration passed by Congress. Spokespersons for ICE, the Department of Justice, and other federal agencies say the riots will not stop them from conducting further raids to apprehend and deport those who are illegally in our country.
Gov. Gavin “Hair Gel” Newsom has facetiously called Border Czar Tom Homan a “tough guy” and dared Homan to arrest him for his support of illegal migrants.
Instead of going into the fray and trying to calm the anti-American mobs, Newsom has remained in the wings, grousing and taking pot shots at President Trump and others in his administration who are working to eject millions of illegal migrant child rapists, murderers, drug traffickers, and thieves from our nation.
During my career as a reporter, I have covered countless riots and violent protests all over the world, including the worst of them all—the Tiananmen Square Pro-Democracy Protests that ended with the slaughter of thousands of student demonstrators by Chinese army troops sent by the Chinese Communist Party to clear the square.
What is happening in Los Angeles is just the opposite of that horrendous event 36 years ago.
Instead, the L.A. Police have been restrained by Mayor Bass from engaging with the rioters, preferring to allow them to be pelted by rocks, bottles, and fireworks. At the same time, police cars and Waymo vehicles that operate in downtown Los Angeles are battered and set on fire.
If anything, a tougher response by the authorities against protesters who consider themselves immune from punishment for their flagrant and violent behavior might quash the carnage and disperse the migrant thugs and their comrades.
Does anybody recall the 1968 Chicago riots during the Democratic National Convention? I do. Violence was met with violence, and protestors’ plans to immobilize downtown Chicago and disrupt the convention were quickly quashed.
President Trump has vowed not to allow a repeat of the so-called “summer of love” in 2020 when demonstrators in places like Minneapolis, Seattle, and Portland burned scores of buildings, looted businesses, and created havoc.
That’s whyTrump took control of the California National Guard—an act entirely legal under the Insurrection Act and other federal laws that allow a U.S. President to federalize National Guard troops. And it’s why he and Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth vowed to send in U.S. Marines if the violence in Los Angeles continues to grow and overwhelm local police.
On Monday, some 700 U.S. Marines from nearby Camp Pendleton were ordered into downtown Los Angeles, a move both Newsom and Bass insist is illegal. It isn’t.
The problem is this: Trump is not in Los Angeles, but the inept and bungling Karen Bass is. So is Governor Hair Gel, who seems to be a fanboy of the gangs and migrant thugs intent on destroying downtown Los Angeles and halting the mass deportation of some of the most dangerous criminal aliens in American history.
With this kind of leadership, who needs anarchy?
