After Joe Biden‘s Perverse Reign of Devastation, a Muckraker’s Thoughts on a New Era of Common Sense

Looking back on the last four years, I feel like I have been mucking a giant pile of manure out of a barn.

The more I shoveled, the higher the pile of manure got.

There didn’t seem to be any end to the execrable crap being dispensed by the Biden crime family and its loathsome nest of socialists and communists who infested our venerated White House after the 2020 election.

It was depressing because it didn’t seem that anything I or millions of other patriotic Americans did could stop Joe Biden from ripping our nation to pieces.

Start with the Southern Border. For the past 48 months, it has been wide open, and some 10 million illegal migrants have poured into our country—including thousands of rapists, murderers, thieves, child molesters, and, God knows how many terrorists who have conceivably set up cells in just about every part of the nation.

Take a look at the House Committee on Oversight and Accountability hearing and report from September 2024 and the opening statement by Chairman James Comer:

“Three and a half years ago, when Joe Biden and Kamala Harris took office, they promised to ‘Build Back Better.’ The fawning media told us that ‘the adults are back in the room.’ But three and a half years later, the economy is suffering, the border is broken, and crises continue to erupt worldwide. Everything Joe Biden and Kamala Harris have touched has failed. Americans nationwide see and feel the evidence of President Biden and Vice President Harris’s incompetent and weak leadership. The Oversight Committee has been vigilant this Congress to uncover what works, what doesn’t, and how to move forward as this Administration has drifted from crisis to crisis.”

Americans also see and feel rampant crime coast to coast, continuing inflation with skyrocketing prices for groceries, fuel, and housing that is creating havoc with budgets, an expansive, costly, and destructive regulatory agenda, unchecked censorship, fecund lawfare against the Biden administration’s opponents, the proliferation of caustic DEI and harmful identity political policies, and an America that is viewed as an anemic and vulnerable giant on the global political stage.

Now, with President-elect Donald Trump inaugurated for the second time after 77 million angry Americans voted to drive the woke Biden—Harris regime out of Washington along with the America-hating vermin who kowtow to them, I can see the light at the barn door.

Biden’s mound of noxious manure is just about gone, although he seems intent on dropping one cow pie after another as he exits the political barnyard.

Not to worry, Donald Trump and his team are adept at avoiding Biden’s malicious booby traps, such as his detrimental executive action to ban new leasing and drilling for offshore oil and gas in 625 million acres of ocean. That onerous decision invokes the 1953 Outer Continental Shelf Lands Act, which gives presidents broad authority to withdraw federal waters from future oil and gas leasing and development.

Trump called Biden’s move “ridiculous” and added: I’ll unban it immediately,”

Trump’s incoming press secretary, Karoline Leavitt, lambasted Biden’s decision, writing in a post on X, “This is a disgraceful decision designed to exact political revenge on the American people who gave President Trump a mandate to increase drilling and lower gas prices. Rest assured, Joe Biden will fail, and we will drill, baby, drill.”

To demonstrate just how tone-deaf Biden is, he is ending his presidency with the most expensive average gas prices in our nation’s history.

Biden also has the dubious distinction of being president when, in June 2022, the price of regular gas reached the highest national average on record—$4.929 per gallon. Between January 2021 and December 2024, the average cost of a gallon of regular gas in the country was $3.45 (according to the U.S. Energy Information Association), the highest price during a presidential term in U.S. history.

Today, the average price for a gallon of regular gas is $3.103. Biden will finish all four years with an average gas price of over $3 per gallon (despite gas costing only $2.334 per gallon his first month as president).

By contrast, according to the EIA, the average cost of a gallon of regular gas during Donald Trump’s first term as president was $2.48.

I’m confident that under Trump’s leadership and his policy of “drill, baby, drill,” most Americans will see gas prices fall to that level again. Of course, those of us living in California won’t enjoy those lower prices. Currently, a gallon of gas in the CRC (Communist Republic of California) is $4.39—at places like Sam’s Club and Costco, which traditionally sell gas at lower prices than traditional gas stations.

Meanwhile, an irrational Biden continues to insist his energy and economic policies were superior to Trump’s.

Never mind. As he leaves office (Dear God, thank you!), Biden’s approval rating has hit a record low.

According to an analysis of all polls, as of January 13, just 35.6 percent of Americans approve of Biden’s performance, while 57.1 percent disapprove, giving him a net disapproval rating of 21.5 percent.

During his presidency, in which Biden promised to unite the nation, Americans were more divided than ever. Partisan polarization reached new levels as an often angry and petulant Biden called half of the nation domestic terrorists, insurrectionists, white supremacists, and existential threats to democracy.

Was this the great unifier at work?

Biden’s political terrain is littered with the many failures and blunders of his leadership (or lack of it). His decision to seek a second term was not the least of these, despite concerns about his cognitive abilities and age. Then, there was his disastrous debate performance against Donald Trump. After that debacle in June 2024, concerns about Biden’s physical and mental fitness increased. Biden often trailed off mid-sentence and spoke in a strained, whispered tone, prompting questions about his health and mental state.

I lost all respect for Biden following the calamitous U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan in August 2021. That calamity became a defining moment in Biden’s presidency. Public opinion took a significant hit after a suicide bombing at Kabul airport killed 13 U.S. service members and more than 170 others.

Before the withdrawal, Biden’s approval ratings were in the mid-50s. Following the chaotic Afghanistan exit at the end of a 20-year war, his ratings dropped below 50 percent and never recovered.

Then, there was the intentional destruction of our southern border and the loathsome decision to import millions of illegal migrants into the nation to replace the millions of working and middle-class voters Democrats had lost. It was apparent to me that this was the plan when, on his first day in office, Biden rolled back several of Donald Trump’s immigration policies.

For me, the final nail in Biden’s political coffin was his unprincipled and corrupt lawfare strategy directed at political opponents, not the least of whom was Donald Trump.

If anything defines the corrupt, malicious, caustic demagoguery of Joe Biden (besides the millions of dollars he and his crime family illegally wrenched from foreign entities), it was his campaign to persecute, prosecute, and jail his primary political rival—Donald J. Trump.

That was perhaps the most malodorous ingredient of Biden’s giant dung heap. As for me, I’m happy to put my shovel down and stop raking the muck.
